Ballerina dreams

If I could i'd wear tutu's and ballet clothes all the time. It's so elegant and girly. Sadly I can't do that(or I can but yeah....). There is though many ways to dress to feel like a ballerina. I was browsing polyvore when I found a pic of a ballerina putting on her shoes. Just the colours and the mood of the pic made me wanna make something...So I did

With such elegance...

Olala!

Jeans! Must be if not the most worn garment in the world, atleast one of them. And why not? They're nice and very versatile. Skinny, loose, bootcut, boyfriend... there are soo many different kinds, and not to mention colours. There is a jean for almost every occasion.
Except for the many different looks, I don't know much about jeans, except that they're made of denim that in norwegian have many names; denim, dongeri, ola(therefore the title), but thats not very usefull information for people who dont live around here. What could be usefull for people everywhere to know is that jeans and other things made of denim is very in right now. Skirts, jackets, blouses, and of course the jeans pants have been all over the runways and shops lately.
A brand that I think made one of the best campaigns using lots of denim this season is a spanish one called blanco. Unfortunately blancos online store only ships to spain and the countries around it(canary island etc) so you'd have to go there to get them, but I still love the pictures enough to post them, for inspiration, and to annoy everyone who knows they'll never get any of it(myself included).

My favorites are definitely the dark jeans on the first picture, the whole outfit in the second(especcially the headband ;P) and the dress. If anyone knows anywhere else I can find clothes similar to those, please please please tell me!
Oh, and the car mmm, me like!

Yaaaaaaaaay!

...Yeah, I couldnt think of anything else....

The last few days I have done a lot of my favorite activity... shopping :D And actually, most of it has even been things I needed, or really wanted, not only things I "needed" cause they were pretty... So, I've been pretty good.

Saturday I went shopping with my sister, and I was really looking for a bikini, but I didnt find any... so i bought a tee, sunglasses and shorts instead. I actually needed the sunglasses though, so not all of it was completely useless.

Today I also did a little bit of shopping, with my mom this time. And after looking for bikinis all saturday I was kinda sick of trying them on and stuff, so we found a store i have a giftcard at, picked three bikinis and bought one of them. I was really looking for one that will stay on even if i dive and jump and all that stuff, cause the ones I have now barely stay on when im swimming... And the one ended up buying is a bit better then the ones I have.. but not too much... It has ruffles tho, so it's ok. (Amazing logic, I know)

Then I tried finding something else to spend the rest of the giftcard on and I found a Helly Hansen bag with a super reduced prize, so i got that too, cause I've actuallt been thinking that I need that. And I've desided, I really like this bag... not sure why, I just do.

After that we took the escalators up, and down... and up..... aaaand down again :P But when we finally got to the record store my mom bought 3 muse cd's. Cause muse is awesome, and so is my mom.

Then we took the escalators back up... twice. And then we drooove away... Til the last stop on our journey(I'll write a book about it, "Escalators in Tønsberg", Yay), Stoff og stil!
Its a place where they sell sewing machines, fabrics, sewing patterns, buttons, zippers, threads, neadles... yeah you get the point, all that stuff. And since I've lately been sewing more and more I found out I would spend some of the money I got for my confirmation on my own sewing machine(since mom is using hers alot herself, and I dont like waiting).
Also I needed something more to sew, so we bought a pretty polkadot fabric with flowers on it, and im gonna make a full skirt out of it, when i come back from barbados that is.

Still in the box...

Pretty fabric

So this friday I'm going to Cuba, and then later barbados, but I'll try to make one more madmen post first, just to have equally many girls and guys ;)

Cupcakes anyone?

Today was last day of school, yay :D
And to celebrate, I made cupcakes... lots of cupcakes :P Way more cupcakes than I had planned actually, so now we have cupcakes all over the kitchen :)

And these are just some of the ones I made.... Cute colours tho :)

The only thing today that wasnt so nice was that it was the last day with our teacher, Halvor. He's the best teacher i've ever had and it really sucks that we're not having him next year too. Except for that everything was fine, even the weather :)

Dress me up like: Joan Harris!

...or Holloway if you'd like.

Joan has a perfect hourglass figure and she knows how to show it off. She wears tight hip-hugging dresses and skirts, most of them reaching her to her knees. Most have none or very little cleavage which makes her still look decent. She also wears mid height heels, and simple jewelery. Her most "famous" piece of jewelery is probably the little pencil necklace that is even mentioned in one of the mad men episodes.

wear the skirt with  this cute blouse from This etsy shop.

A classic high waisted pencil skirt Here

Rasberry coloured wiggle dress from This etsy shop

An evening dress a la joan from modcloth

Bliss

Today I was served breakfast in bed. A plate with buns, lemoncake and foccachia. A great way to start the day!
The weather has been great all day, 20 degrees and just some wind. So for lunch we drove our double ender to the other side of the fjord and ate seafood and ice cream. It has been a great day, which is good, cause the rest of the week I will spend with 15(!!!) other people at our cabin near the mountains... I'm just glad I have my own little loft, cause maybe then I will have a little bit privacy... but probably not.

Old fashioned vanilla and mint chocolatechip, mmm<3

Lagertha!

Just a little boat that passed us on our way home.

I'm sorry for not posting any mad men posts lately, I'll try to post one tonight if I have the time.

Ma chambre

This summer I'm going to fix my room. New paint, some fixing of furnitures, cleaning up all the childrens books, etc. And because of that I've been looking at many articles about how to fix rooms in a cheap, simple way...  And there is one thing that annoys me; When they talk about typical teen rooms, they are all boring and plain and needs more colour... If there is one thing my room doesn't need thats more colour!
I have pink walls, and the furniture is mostly black and wood coloured. There isnt a place by the wall not covered with a desk, a shelf or a chair. So just to make sure there is atleast one blog that lets people know that not all teen rooms are boring and sterile I thought I'd post some pics of my room.
I cleaned a little before taking the pics, but I have way too much stuff so it still looks messy thats why most of them are only of smaller details.

E is for Emilie. And some  yarn, just in case...

First book I'll read when
I'm done with the hitchhikers guide.

Two of my favorite shirts, half because they're nice,
and half because I dont have room for them in my closet.

All my favorites, Twilight, HP,Inkheart and Alanya.

Even more books, and where I like to sit reading them.

Jewlery <3

My lovely piggy/cow/car/flowerpot-banks

There once were two fish in a bowl, they're names were Prince and
Marlboro. Prince died early only months old, but Marlboro stayed for
a very long time. Untill one day, he was suddenly gone.

I got a Merrit in grade 3. I went all the way up to 6th grade, but never took the exam.
This fall I took my first medal in the UTD system, diplomas are fun, but medals are even more fun ;)

Yep, so thats just a little bit of my room, colours and clutter <3

Hamley says hi =)
